Shoshone Arts in the Park is located on the historic grounds of the Lincoln County Courthouse. Shoshone was established in 1882 and Shoshone became the county seat. Shoshone is full or rich history from its lava rock buildings to famous faces that have stopped a paid a visit. In 1987 a group formed Junction City Arts Council and started to promote the Arts Festival. Later the event was called Shoshone Arts in the Park. Today the event features artists, food vendors, crafter's, music and more.
In 2011 the Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce took over responsibilities of Shoshone Arts in the Park to bring back the flavor of the a true Arts and Craft Show. Today the Chamber has a volunteer committee that works hard to bring you the best artist, crafters and musicians from all around Southern Idaho and beyond. In 2012, the Chamber but on a great show the had people coming from all over the region to see fiddlers, arts and crafts and taste the food. Shoshone Arts in the Park is becoming a well known regional event again.
