The Lincoln County Courthouse lawn will soon be full of quality Arts and Crafts, Antique Dealers, Festival Food and Great Music. This year marks the 29th year of Shoshone Arts in the Park. A festival where family and friends come together to listen to great music, eat the festival food and do some shopping for quality arts and crafts. Shoshone Arts in the Park will be held on July 9th and 10th on the Lincoln County Courthouse Lawn located on US Hwy 93(South Greenwood) just walking distance from the Historic downtown.
Vendors travel from all over Idaho, Utah and Oregon to participate in this annual event to sell their metal and gourd art, photography, paintings, fiber art, handmade soap and so many more quality artists. Wagons rides, antique dealers and a delicious variety of food vendors will be on hand during the weekend. The festival begins on Saturday at 9:00 am and goes till 5:00 pm. Following Saturdays festival head over to the Lincoln County Rodeo Arena for the Lawnmower Races that will take place at 6:00 pm. Lawnmowers will reach over speeds of 40 miles an hour around the arena for trophies. This is a fundraiser for the Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Program. Each year the Chamber gives out three scholarships to deserving high school students from Lincoln County Schools. On Sunday, the Oasis Christian Fellowship will be hosting a community breakfast starting at 7:00 am, which is by donation. The festival will open at 10:00 am and last till 4:00 pm for the conclusion of the event. This year, the Music Festival will feature some great entertainment. Music will begin at 9:30 am on Saturday and 10:00 am on Sunday. Shoshone Arts in the Park marks three weeks away and we a plugging along. We are getting great vendors for the event and the entertainers are getting excited also.
